Student Events and Entertainment plans events every week during the academic year — from trivia and bingo nights, to concerts, comedians, film showings, HomecomingSpring Jam™, and more. Join Student Events and Entertainment

We frequently have positions available for students interested in event planning, and we aim to have a team that reflects the student body, including students from different colleges, backgrounds, and interests. Joining Student Event and Entertainment gives students the opportunity to develop critical thinking, problem solving, leadership, professionalism, intercultural fluency, project and budget management skills, and other Student Development Outcomes.

Lead Planners

Ever dreamt of being the mastermind behind Homecoming or Spring Jam™?  Lead Planners make it happen.  They're the A-Team responsible for turning epic ideas into reality. You'll be the student leader negotiating with vendors, researching the hottest trends, and making sure Homecoming and Spring Jam™ are legendary. Plus, you'll hone your communication skills, learning to speak to vendors and impress campus partners (think less awkward presentations, more confident pitches!).  Basically, it's the resume booster you need, the chance to become a campus legend, and the ultimate party planning power trip.

Event Planners

Event Planners get to curate the coolest events on campus. Choose your team - Gamerooms, Music, or Social Events - and plan epic experiences for your fellow students. You'll learn the ropes of booking talent, staying ahead of trends, and leading an amazing team. Plus, you'll hone your communication skills.  Basically, it's the ultimate way to ditch the FOMO, gain real-world cred, and become a campus insider.

Gold Group

GoldGroup is an event volunteer force for Student Events and Entertainment. They perform various duties and tasks to assist at student events. GoldGroup volunteers will receive $5 of GopherGold for each shift they complete. Volunteers will gain valuable service experience, as well as other perks such as free meals & snacks, promotional items, and scholarship consideration. Apply now!
