About GopherLink

Are you looking for a way to get more involved in the campus community? Check out GopherLink!

GopherLink is a comprehensive tool to increase your engagement outside of the classroom. Student experiences outside the classroom contribute to career, skill, and identity development. By engaging in communities and opportunities that challenge and support your growth, students can find a sense of belonging at the University. Visit osa.umn.edu for more information about why student engagement matters.

GopherLink enables you to take control of your co-curricular involvement by finding opportunities, joining a group, and attending events.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

When will the new Gopherlink be available?

The new GopherLink student engagement platform will be launched on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. The University will be using the current platform of Gopherlink through December 31, 2023.

How do I get to the new Gopherlink?

Although the platform is changing, we plan for the url for Gopherlink to remain the same (gopherlink.umn.edu). It will just look different once you get there.

How will this transition to a new platform impact group updates to the current version of Gopherlink?

On Friday, December 15, 2023, we are freezing all changes to current Gopherlink profiles. This means that, if changes to your group are not complete by then, they will not be reflected on the new platform. All required student group profile information will be uploaded by the Student Group Services Team prior to the end of the calendar year. Once the new platform launches in 2024, your group can continue with your changes.

How do I know if a group is registered and in good standing with the University?

When you look up a group on Gopherlink, all information about their registration status will be directly below their name. If they are not in good standing with the University, it will be listed before their group type (Registered Student Organization or Campus Life Program) in all capital letters.

Example: PROBATION - Registered Student Organization.

Unless indicated here, the group can be considered in good standing with Student Group Services.

What updates are available for annual registration for the 2023-2024 academic year?

Annual registration will be open for new and expired student groups until Wednesday, March 1, 2024. The registration window for 2023-2024 will open in April 2023. Officers listed on their group's profile will receive communications outlining process changes, important deadlines and required action items in order to maintain access to student group resources.
