Student Unions & Activities works with registered student groups to resolve group disputes and hold groups accountable to their own policies/procedures as well as University policies. The University also provides a number of channels for the resolution of disputes and conflict management for students. The appropriate channel to pursue will vary depending on the circumstances of each case, and the category of student group registration. Students involved in a student group dispute can work with SUA staff to resolve group conflict and help manage the group resolution process. Student Activities advising staff can be consulted to serve as a neutral party to assist in resolving the dispute, allowing all parties involved the opportunity to create a resolution that addresses everyone’s concerns. Students may also utilize the services of the University Counseling and Consulting Services, the Student Conflict Resolution Center, or other campus departments to work through conflicts.
