Catering
Student Unions & Activities offers flexible catering policies, leaving the choices up to you! We can work with any licensed caterer of your choice giving you endless cuisine options for you and your guests.
While Student Unions & Activities can work with any licensed caterer of your choice, University Catering is the on-campus provider. For more information and menu options, visit the University Catering web site at www.dining.umn.edu or contact them by phone at (612) 624-7173.
Food permits are required for any group that is bringing food into the building for meetings or events. All food permits for catered events and potlucks must be submitted to the Events & Conferences office at least 10 days in advance (Department of Environmental Health and Safety approval is required).
Alcohol
Customers wanting to serve alcoholic beverages at their event must submit an alcohol permit to the Events & Conference Office at least 15 business days prior to the event date. Registered student organizations should submit their permits to the Student Activities Office. The sale of alcoholic beverages in the facility is not permitted.
Prep Kitchens
Student Unions & Activities also offers three prep kitchens for your catering convenience. Two prep kitchens are located in Coffman Memorial Union and one is located in the St. Paul Student Center. Please visit the prep kitchen's web page for more information.
