Title: Student Manager with Coffman Memorial Union Post Office

Level: Intermediate

Essential Functions:

The Coffman Memorial Union Post Office Student Manager serves as the first point of contact for Student Customer Service Associates, (CSAs), and provides leadership through supervision and coaching. Student Managers assist in monitoring facility conditions, assisting in inventory management, and other mid-level administrative tasks. Student Managers are expected to be available to be scheduled a minimum of 10 hours per week during the academic school year.

  • 30% Supervision of Customer Service Associates: Provides leadership for CSAs and fosters a productive and positive work environment, ensures excellent customer service, trains and coaches staff, develops and maintains training materials, assigns, oversees, and monitors tasks and responsibilities.
  • 20% Inventory Management: Monitors inventory levels, assists in analyzing sales and helps to identify poorly performing products, researches and offers input on new product and service ideas, completes weekly stamp and mailing supply inventory and participates in semi-annual inventory.
  • 20% Administrative Duties: Completes daily sales reporting and assists with month end reconciliation, tracks and follows up on lost & found items.
  • 15% Monitoring Facility Conditions: Maintaining signage, ensuring and maintaining cleanliness of facilities and equipment; ensures storage spaces are neat and organized; reports facility issues.
  • 15% Other Duties: Coordination of rental lockers, covers CSA breaks and shifts when needed.
