Frequently Asked Questions: Locker Changes in Response to COVID-19

The Student Unions & Activities locker rental team has compiled a list of frequently asked questions for locker contract holders in response to the current public health crisis. How do I rent a locker for Fall 2020?

  • Fill out the locker agreement form on our website. Once your request has been processed, we will send you an email from to let you know when you can come in to pay for the locker. Please do not come in until you get that email.

How do I pay for my locker rental?

  • From September 8th to September 11th, the Coffman Information Desk will be open to accept payments via cash, card, and Gopher Gold. After September 11th, locker rental payments will be moved to the Coffman Post Office on the ground floor. If you cannot come to Coffman to pay for your locker, please reach out to us at

I had a locker in Spring 2020 before the U of M shut down. What will happen to the items I left in my locker?

  • If you will be renewing your locker for Fall 2020, we will leave your items in the locker. If you are not renewing your locker, we will leave your items in your locker until September 21st. Anything left in a locker after that will be disposed of. If your will not be renewing your locker and will not be able to return to campus to collect your items, please contact us at

*Starting Dec. 2, 2019, U Cards will be required for access to Moos Tower. All students, faculty, and staff will be required to wear a visible U Card, MHealth ID, or Fairview ID when attending class or conducting business in Moos Tower and other Health Sciences buildings.
