Student Governance Advising

Democracy Cup winners

Through Student Government Advising, we offer these student leaders development opportunities for reflection on their leadership journey, help them navigate university systems when advocating for change, and guide them as they operate their large organizations.

Every student on campus is represented by one of the following Recognized Student Governance Associations:

Student Jobs

Student Unions & Activities employs students in retail, event planning, building management, marketing, and student activities. Student workers in our department develop valuable career and leadership skills while enjoying the flexibility and convenience of on-campus employment. Our department strives to foster a supportive environment where students of all backgrounds can flourish and connect with one another.

Board of Governors

The Board of Governors (BOG) serves as a voice for students in the policies and operations of Student Unions & Activities. Through the Board’s leadership, the student unions are able to adapt to the changing needs of the campus community by adding services, lobbying successfully for renovations and increasing hours of operation.

Student Affairs Engagement Opportunities and Resources

Student Unions & Activities is one of eighteen units in Student Affairs. Student Affairs offerings help you engage in student groups and activities, stay healthy and active, learn from the University’s rich diversity, prepare for careers, find support, and more.
