Customer Service Associates (CSAs) are the front line service providers to guests. CSAs answer general questions about the St. Paul Student Center (SPSC), the U of MN Campus, and Twin Cities meetings, events, and activities via the phone and in person. They also handle and provide assistance with postal services, discount and seasonal ticket sales, SPSC locker rentals, creation of replacement U Cards, and distribution of the U-Pass and Campus Zone Pass. CSAs are responsible for maintaining cleanliness of the work area, stocking merchandise, cashiering, and other entry-level tasks.

  • Current UMTC student. See student employment eligibility
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work independently

  • Minimum 8 hours up to 15 hours/week availability during hours of operation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous cash handling experience
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Basic knowledge of the U of M - Twin Cities campuses

Notes for This Posting

The successful applicant will be available to work several shifts between Monday-Friday. Applicants must be able to start in the Fall Semester. Students will be expected to work 8-15 hours during the academic year. All shifts will be a minimum of two consecutive hours, and staff will be scheduled up to 30 minutes before/after the hours of operation for the Post Office and Information Desk to account for opening and closing activities.

Shifts are available during Fall 2019 Semester:

  • Monday, Tuesday: 11 am - 2 pm
  • Wednesday: 12:30 pm - 3 pm or later
  • Thursday 7:30 am - 10:30 am or later
