Truth in Masquerade
Enjoy the charming works of our featured artist, Sarah N. Duncan, in this solo exhibition in the Second Floor Gallery. Her mixed-media works explore themes of identity such as queerness, whiteness, parenthood, and friendship and uses storytelling to express truths through varying lenses. Sarah invites the viewer to reflect on how we express our truth through concealment and masking in this time of re-entering the world as we reckon with the changes of the COVID-19 pandemic. Through her work she also explores the relationship between masks and identity, and how our priorities are shifting as we take off our masks.
