Performing Objects Reception
Performing Objects transforms the gallery exhibition space into a stage where twelve objects enact in a theatrical setting. The stage functions as a place where the objects are equalized and counterpoised. The objects, without activation by performance or audience participation, engage in a continuous state of suggested movement and unfolding, chance narratives. Without a predetermined relationship to one another, connections are formed by the psychological introduction of the stage where they otherwise might not exist in a traditional gallery setting.
