Second Floor Gallery: Midwest Women
Explore women’s history through these eccentric works of “Brart” by Sadie Ward. Influenced by non-consumptive practices and women's restrictive fashion throughout history, Sadie Ward is an artist who takes old bras and makes portraits of influential women. She focuses on creating sustainable art which encourages one to reflect upon their own conscious choices in fashion.
Join us for a reception and artist's talk on Friday, April 7 from 5-7 PM. If you have bras you no longer wear, consider donating to this artist by bringing them along to the reception!
Planned by Student Events and Entertainment.
To request disability accommodations contact suaprograms@umn.edu or call 612-626-6919 at least ten business days in advance of event date. We will do our best to accommodate requests made after this date.
