Forget Me Not
The idea behind the shoot “Forget Me Not” comes from a conversation Mark Khan had with his brother about how, because of the way history is written and taught, it was hard for him as a Black person to be able to fully see himself and his community’s presence throughout history. How we have impacted change, how our cultural practices have evolved, how our societal ideologies and musical influences have changed. All of these things are not inherently provided information in our education system, Black people have to seek it out for ourselves. As we reach for better, this is dedicated to not being lost in the waves of history. We were there.
This event is a partnership with the Black Student Union.
