Description
The primary role of Gopher Spot Customer Service Associates (CSAs) is to provide front line customer service to guests at the St Paul Student Center's Gopher Spot Gameroom and Convenience Store. CSAs provide good customer service by displaying a welcoming attitude and becoming knowledgeable regarding products and services offered at the Gopher Spot. CSAs are responsible for maintaining cleanliness of the work area, stocking merchandise, cashiering, preparing food, and other entry-level tasks. CSAs should be available to be scheduled 8 to 15 hours hours per week during academic year. See the Gopher Spot's hours of operation
Requirements
- Current U of MN - Twin Cities degree-seeking student. See student employment eligibility
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work with a diverse customer base
- Able to work morning or evenings shifts
- Minimum 10 hours per week availability during Gopher Spot hours of operation

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous cash handling experience
- Previous customer service experience
- General knowledge of bowling
- Mechanical aptitude
Notes for This Posting
Applicants must be available and eligible to hold a student position throughout Summer of 2023.
Staff summer schedules and hours vary, working one to five days a week at the Gopher Spot located in the St Paul Student Center.
Summer hours of operation: Monday-Friday 9:30am-5:30pm. Allow up to 30 minutes for opening & closing procedures.
Students with work-study are encouraged to apply.
