  • Previous leadership experience in a customer service environment
  • Ability to problem solve and deal with difficult situations
  • Knowledge of SUA programs and facilities
  • Knowlege of billiards and bowling equipment

Title: Gopher Spot Student Manager

Level: Intermediate

Essential Functions:

Gopher Spot Student Managers oversee customer service at the Gopher Spot, serving as the first point of contact for Customer Service Associates (CSAs), providing leadership through supervision and coaching. Student Managers assist in inventory management, monitoring facility conditions, and performing other mid-level administrative tasks

  • 30% Supervision of Customer Service Associates: Provides leadership for CSAs and fosters a productive and positive work environment; ensures excellent customer service, coaches staff in an appropriate impartial manner; maintains and develops training materials; trains, assigns, oversees, and monitors tasks and responsibilities of CSAs.
  • 20% Inventory Management: Orders merchandise and supplies, monitors and tracks inventory levels, runs sales reports, performs audits
  • 20% Administrative Duties: Processes daily deposits; maintains spreadsheets; processes invoices; provides updates to CSAs and management as needed, updates area internal website; supports Senior Student Manager with marketing and promotional efforts.
  • 15% Monitoring Facility Conditions: Maintains bowling lanes, repairs and maintains pinsetters, performs advanced Qubica functions related to proper lane operation (cameras/uploads). Ensures cleanliness facilities and equipment, ensures food safety compliance. Reports facility issues.
  • 15% Other duties: researches new products and services, proposes changes to processes, covers CSA breaks and shifts when needed, completes special projects or tasks as assigned.
