Essential Functions:

The Event Services Team is the front line for keeping Coffman Memorial Union (CMU) running smoothly and safely. Event Services Team members will provide support for events hosted within our venues during mornings, evenings, and weekends. The Event Services Team works with and without supervision to ensure that spaces in and around the building are clean and prepared with all necessary tables, chairs, and equipment when guests arrive for their event. Work study is accepted, but not required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • 45% Event Support: Execute room set-ups, tear-downs, and turn-overs for all event spaces in CMU. Greet clients at the beginning of an event and continually check-in during and after event; assist with client’s event requests or problems; manage signage for large meetings and events
  • 45% Custodial Duties: : Ensure cleaning of event spaces and common areas as well as assisting Facilities with project cleaning or other cleaning tasks as assigned (Training will be provided for using cleaning equipment and proper usage of cleaning materials and chemicals).
  • 5% Snow Removal: Using snow blowers, shovels, scrapers, electric shovels, salting/sanding, etc.
  • 5% Other duties: Special projects or tasks as assigned
