Coffman Memorial Union has 27 dedicated event space wireless access points to manage all of the wireless needs of our clients. There are numerous additional access points in all common areas around Coffman Memorial Union and the St. Paul Student Center for general-purpose use. Full access to the wireless network for students and staff requires central authentication based on Internet ID (X500).
In either facility guests to campus may use the “UofM Guest” network for free. You can use any existing e-mail address to log in to this network. Please keep in mind that this service is “best effort.” It offers no encryption and is limited in bandwidth and capacity. For specific questions about guest wireless access please contact us.
Computer and Tablet Support
All event spaces are equipped with all the necessary cables to get your device onto either the flat panel monitors (conference rooms) or built-in projectors (large venues). Both VGA and HDMI connections, along with the ability to play audio from your device, are standard in all spaces. Resolution capabilities vary depending on the space, but all can handle resolutions up to HD (1920 x 1080).
We maintain a large stock of miscellaneous adaptors for Apple devices including iPads and multiple versions of MacBooks.
SUA does not supply computers or tablets for events.
