Event Staffing

Certain events may require the use of our event staff at the rates listed below. All staff costs are assessed for a minimum of 4 hours, except where otherwise noted. Please contact (612) 624-9954 or (612) 624-0936 if you have a question regarding our staff policies.

Police Officer (2 officers required, 3 hour minimum) $77.00

Audio/Video Packages

Student Unions & Activities offers four basic packages designed to meet the needs of the majority of our customers. See our A/V Tech Services for tech sheets on some of our larger venues. Inquiries should be directed to our A/V Manager at (612) 625-1966.

Please note MN State Sales Tax will be charged on all Audio/Video Equipment for student groups and guest reservations at the current rate of 7.775% in CMU and 7.125% in SPSC.

Basic Systems

Lecture Sound System $40.00 + tax
Basic sound system designed for voice amplification. System includes podium, microphones, amplifiers, and speakers.
Presentation System $160.00 + tax
Includes data projector and the lecture sound system. Please note this system does not include laptop rental.

Advanced Systems

Concert Sound System $280.00 + tax +
$30 / hour*
Designed to amplify musical performances and more complicated events. Includes microphones, amplifiers, speakers, mixers, and monitors.
*SUA technician required.
