Student Unions & Activities offers many involvement opportunities where students book, promote, and execute events for fellow University of Minnesota-Twin Cities students and the campus community. The Campus Events committee plans activities at Coffman Memorial Union and St. Paul Student Center during the academic school year, in addition to picking the weekly free films at both Coffman Memorial Union and the St. Paul Student Center. Previous activites include: An evening with Jenna Marbles, Aaron Ralston of 27 hours, writer of Orange is the New Black, Piper Kerman, the Fall Carnival, and multiple DIY nights. They also book large, nationally recognized concert artists and comedians for the entire student community!
The Gameroom committee brings interactive and fun activites to Goldy's Gameroom and St. Paul Student Center.
The Arts & Culture Committee curates, designs, and installs student and professional art exhibitions in the Larson Art Gallery at the St. Paul Student Center, and Coffman Art Gallery. This committee also plans a variety of gallery events, and art appreciation events throughout the year.
For the past 30 years, the Whole Music Club has brought cutting-edge music to the University of Minnesota. This committee manages the venue, selects bands, coordinates shows, and promotes concerts on a regular basis. Previous bands to perform at the Whole include Cloud Cult, Shabazz Palaces, Sims, Jeremy Messersmith, Dan Deacon, and many other local and student bands.
