About this Group

Group Description
The Investment and Finance Organization ("InFO") is open to all students who are interested in learning more about investment related careers. InFO provides students with the opportunity to interact with speakers from various finance related fields including Investment Banks, Private Equity Groups, Asset Management Firms, and Large Corporations. The speakers give valuable insight about the multitude of career paths that are available in the world of finance. The group also sponsors social events to help students acquaint themselves with other students that have similar interests. Weekly meetings involve in-depth discussions about the stock market, bonds, commodities, currencies and derivatives.
Group's principal activities, events, or programs:
InFO hosts weekly meetings in which business professionals involved in financial activities come and speak to students. InFO is a club to get involved in if you are interested in discovering the various types of occupations and issues revolving around the financial industry. Along with these weekly meetings InFO also looks to create a strong bond amongst its members. Thus, throughout the course of the semester different social events are organized. Examples would be site visits to companies and volunteer events.

The activities of this organization benefit the University community because it allows business professionals an opportunity to meet with students on a one-on-one basis. Thus, the connections made between business professionals and students create a network for future growth and opportunities.

InFO is an organization dedicated to ensuring its members adequately understand the financial industry and all the components that are composed of it.
