About this Group

Group Description
The Joggin' Mondales is a jogging club dedicated to promoting health and life balance among students at the University of Minnesota Law School. All fitness levels are encouraged to join. Everyone from casual walkers to marathon runners can stretch and begin their exercise routines together before settling into their own comfortable paces.
Group's principal activities, events, or programs:
We meet on a regular basis to go for jogs, walks, or runs. We generally meet in Spannaus Commons, in Mondale Hall. Occasionally we meet elsewhere, such as weekend runs in Uptown. We encourage all fitness levels to join, and have different "run leaders" for different days of the week.
How this group's activities benefit the University community:
We provide students an opportunity to get regular exercise in a group setting. Being part of an organization can provide extra motivation for students to find time to exercise in their busy study schedules.
How this group fits into its categories:
We fit into the "Health and Wellness" category because our primary goal is to encourage regular exercise. We may partake in races down the line, but we are more concerned with maintaining exercise routines throughout the year than with competition.
How to get involved with this group:
We have both a website and a Facebook page. On our website we have a calendar which lists our run times and contact information. Students are encouraged to join the Facebook page, but can also simply show up to our runs and will be welcomed to the group.
