Frequently Asked Questions

How will my student receive their package?

There are 3 ways. Delivery: Free on-campus delivery includes University of Minnesota buildings and residence halls on the East Bank, West Bank, and St. Paul campuses. The ordering page includes a complete list of all on-campus buildings; if your location is not listed, it is an off-campus delivery. Our delivery times reflect the time for us to deliver the package to the recipient's address.

Packages can be picked up at the Gopher Express in Coffman Memorial Union, located in the heart of the East Bank campus. For in-store pickups, the delivery date is the date we will notify the recipient that the package is ready for pickup. Our hours of operation are listed on our website.

Off-Campus Delivery:
Price $8.99 + tax

We will contact off-campus recipients directly to arrange a suitable delivery date and time. When selecting an off-campus delivery date, please allow time for the recipient to be notified and delivery arrangements to be made.

When will my package be delivered?

Care Packages are delivered Monday — Friday, between 9am and 5pm, excluding University holidays. Weekend and same-day delivery is NOT available. Select a future delivery date to ensure your gift will be delivered in time for your student’s big day.

If I request delivery, how will I know my student received their package?

On campus deliveries are taken to the residence hall's front desk where it is securely held while the recipient is notified to pick up the package. Due to individual residence hall policies, students may receive packages shortly after delivery.

What if there is an issue with my order?

Please contact us within seven days of delivery and appropriate measures will be taken to resolve your concerns.

What if my student isn't home when the package is delivered off campus?

We make every attempt to arrange suitable delivery dates and times for off-campus recipients. After arranging delivery conditions, our carriers will make one attempt to deliver the package. If the recipient is not available and there is not a secure location to leave the package, the package will be deemed undeliverable. If the delivery address or phone number provided by the sender is incorrect, or if our attempts to contact the recipient are unsuccessful, the package will also be deemed undeliverable.

What happens to an undeliverable package?

They are held for 7 business days following the delivery date. The recipient is contacted and informed that their package is ready for in-store pickup. If after 7 business days the package has not been claimed, we will cancel your order and issue a refund to your credit card. All cancelled orders are subject to a 35% restocking fee.
