Delivery Information

Care Packages are delivered Monday — Friday, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., excluding University holidays. Weekend and same-day delivery is NOT available.

Free On-Campus Delivery

On-campus delivery includes University of Minnesota buildings and residence halls on the East Bank, West Bank, and St. Paul campuses. The ordering page includes a complete list of all on-campus buildings; if your location is not listed, it is an off-campus delivery.

Our delivery times reflect the time for us to deliver the package to the recipient's address. On campus deliveries are taken to the residence hall's front desk where it is securely held while the recipient is notified to pick up the package. Due to individual residence hall policies, students may receive packages shortly after delivery.

Free In-Store Pickup

Packages can also be picked up at the Gopher Express in Coffman Memorial Union, located in the heart of the East Bank campus. For in-store pickups, the delivery date is the date we will notify the recipient that the package is ready for pickup.

In-store pickup is often the most convenient option for students living off-campus because they can pick up their package when it best suits their busy schedule. This delivery option saves them time and saves you money. Gopher Express is open extended hours on weekdays and weekends to ensure we are available to assist your student.

Off-Campus Delivery

Off-campus delivery is available for $8.99 plus tax to the following Minneapolis zip codes only:

We will contact off-campus recipients directly to arrange a suitable delivery date and time. We make off-campus deliveries weekdays only, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. When selecting an off-campus delivery date, please allow time for the recipient to be notified and delivery arrangements to be made.

Care Packages Return Policy

If you experience any problems with your order, please contact us within seven days of delivery and appropriate measures will be taken to resolve your concerns.

Undeliverable Packages

We make every attempt to arrange suitable delivery dates and times for off-campus recipients. After arranging delivery conditions, our carriers will make one attempt to deliver the package. If the recipient is not available and there is not a secure location to leave the package, the package will be deemed undeliverable. If the delivery address or phone number provided by the sender is incorrect, or if our attempts to contact the recipient are unsuccessful, the package will also be deemed undeliverable.

Undeliverable packages are held for 7 business days following the delivery date. During that time we contact the recipient and inform them that their package is ready for in-store pickup. We will also notify the sender of the delivery delay. If after 7 business days the package has not been claimed, we will cancel your order and issue a refund to your credit card. All cancelled orders are subject to a 35% restocking fee.

Gopher Express does not guarantee delivery in every instance and reserves the right to reject any order in the exercise of its reasonable discretion. Gopher Express shall not be liable for incidental, special, or indirect damages of any kind arising out of this order. Customer agrees that the maximum liability of Gopher Express for any direct damages arising out of this order shall not exceed the amount of the order itself.
