Why Student Groups?

Student groups are an integral part of the University of Minnesota. With over 1,000 student groups, there’s a group for everyone. If there’s one missing, any student at the U of M can start a group and build a new community on campus.

Starting a Group

There are over 1,000 student groups at the University of Minnesota. Before you start a new group, look to see if a similar group already exists. You can find student groups on GopherLink.

If you can’t find your student group, you can register a new group. Student groups new to campus must register with the Student Activities. For information on how to register and registration deadlines, click here.
