The music collective Sun Gods to Gamma Rays sound like they originated from a collision of galactic depth and a starry soundscape than a musical collaboration from Minneapolis. With music that sounds like an expiration of the expansive cosmos and lyrics calling us to return to the root of human desires; the only option for response a listener has to the band’s sound is to float along with them and just enjoy. Looking forward to releasing their first record this fall, the five piece group is still in the early stages of being a band and is still experimenting with new sounds as they find their groove.
Indie-rock band The Farewell Circuit has been playing the Twin Cities music scene since 2006. And after a couple evolutions of band members, the group is now comprised of a solid-foursome with Danny O'Brien, DJ House, Matt O'Brien and Alexander Young. They just released their latest EP, "We Were Wolves," in May 2013. The album brings the emotional intensity of their live performances to life through the recorded medium. Pulling on the realities and life, the chaotic disjunction and the pains and sorrows, the groups music is emotionally charged and ready to go.
