About Gophers After Dark
Now in its tenth year at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities campus, Gophers After Dark is a campus-wide initiative to offer free, or low-cost, late night entertainment on the University of Minnesota. Students can enjoy such activities as newly-released films, concerts, workshops, speakers, comedy acts, bowling and much more every Friday and Saturday night from 7pm to 1am at Coffman Memorial Union. This year will also feature additional events at the St. Paul Student Center every Friday night from 8 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
Past events have included comedian BJ Novak of the "The Office," weekly free showings of newly-released movies, acoustic performances by local musicians, galactic bowling in Goldy's Gameroom, "Last Gopher Standing" comedy stand-up challenge, Student Film Festival, indie rock band Cloud Cult at the Whole Music Club, to name a few.
Gophers After Dark also provides complimentary parking in the East River Road Garage and Gortner Ramp for attendees with a valid U of M student ID, in addition to the Campus Connector which runs every 20 minutes until midnight and the Gophers After Dark Union to Union shuttle which runs from midnight to 2am on Friday and Saturday nights.
