“Hello University of Minnesota! I am Dan Laschansky, a Senior pursuing a degree in Communication Studies and a minor in Management. I am also a Community Advisor for Middlebrook hall and was also a Welcome Week Leader for the class of 2014. My involvement with the Board of Governors began in October of 2011, when I saw the opportunity to contribute to and improve upon the wonderful resources, events, and facilities that Student Unions & Activities has to offer. This year, I am looking forward to increased involvement with the Board as Vice President.”

“My name is Anna Deraney and I am a junior pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering. In addition to my studies, I am a member of the Society of Women Engineers and have held a directorship position for two years. Additionally, I volunteer weekly at the University of Minnesota Amplatz Children's Hospital. I am looking forward to bringing my previous experience to my position as Policy Chair.”

“Hey everyone! I'm Mike and I will be a junior this fall studying Journalism, Business Marketing Education, and Leadership. I'm involved in the Club Tennis Team, Intramural Basketball, and am the president of the Sports Writers Club here at the U in addition to my work at the St. Paul Student Center post office. I'm always looking for ways to help my teams succeed and making new relationships is something I truly enjoy. Being a communications guy means my eyes and ears are always open for suggestions! Definitely looking forward to the new school year.”
